Get Involved

Every business, no matter how large or small, can be engaged in the College & Career Academies of Akron. Partnerships for academy, student and teacher development are what make the College & Career Academies model so successful.  If you have one hour or 100 hours to share, there is a role for you.

What is an Academy Partner?
An Academy Partner is a formalized partnership between a high school academy and a business, university, community organization, professional association, faith community, government department or other group.

Partnership activities vary, depending on the academy’s needs and a partner’s interests and resources. Goals for partnerships between businesses and academies are to improve graduation rates, build relationships between students and positive adult role models and support positive outcomes after high school graduation, including further education and entry into high-wage, high-demand careers.
