Get a Jumpstart on College!
Did you know you can earn college credit while in high school?   APS offers 3 ways you can.

AP/IB Courses: AP (Advanced Placement) or IB (International Baccalaureate) courses have nationally or internationally recognized curriculum. In the spring of the year in which you take the course, you take the exam, and if you score well, colleges and universities will give you credit. Selective schools look for these courses on high school transcripts as an indication you took challenging coursework.  IB is only available at Firestone CLC.

Career Technical Assessment Guide (CTAG) Credit: allows you to earn college credit through selected career technical classes and by meeting the State requirements for verification of completion.  If your class has CTAG approval and you pass the class with the required grade and assessment score, you get credit for that course in college.  Just enroll in the college/university with the approved courses, pass one class after enrolling, and the credit is yours.

College Credit Plus: (CCP) allows you to take classes from a local college or university. These classes can be taken at your high school, online or on the college campus. You must meet admission and enrollment requirements to participate. CCP is transcripted credit, which means you are building a high school and college transcript at the same time.  See below for more information.
