FCCLA National Fall Conference

Students from Garfield CLC attended the FCCLA® National Fall Conference. It was an opportunity to come together with members and advisers across the nation to network, expand leadership skills, sharpen talents, and explore National Programs and Career Pathways. They competed with many other students across the nation. All placed in the top 10 in the NATION!
> Janiaya Brooks- 8th in FCCLA Creed Speaking & Interpretation
> Kristen Simmons- 8th place in Culinary Math Challenge
> Jax GIll- McClarkin - 10th place in Knife Skills
The mission of FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
