The Amazing Shake

The Amazing Shake is an exciting, real-world competition where 5th graders at Akron Public Schools bring their Portrait of an Elementary Scholar skills to life.

 

Through a series of fast-paced, tiered events, students showcase their confidence, communication, and professional skills. From the mechanics of a proper handshake to how to provide high-quality answers in interviews, the Amazing Shake aims to prepare students to present themselves exceptionally well for opportunities today as well as those that will come in the future.

 

After undergoing four rounds of competition with each requiring their own level of critical thinking, the winner of the Amazing Shake is named.
