CTSOs and Clubs

BPA is the leading CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology, and other fields. BPA has 43,000 members in over 2,300 chapters in 23 states.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for marketing, finance, hospitality, and management careers in high schools and colleges worldwide.

Educators Rising cultivates a new generation of highly skilled educators by guiding young people from high school through college and into their teaching careers. Educators Rising is changing the face of teaching by working with aspiring educators who reflect the demographics of their communities and are passionate about serving those communities through public education.

The work of FCCLA helps students and teachers focus on various youth concerns, including parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation in four specific Career Pathways. Involvement in FCCLA allows members to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life—planning, goal setting, problem-solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication—necessary in the home and workplace.

The mission of FFA is to grow the next generation of leaders who will change the world. We realize that vision by executing our mission to make a positive difference in students' lives by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. There are more than three hundred distinct careers in the agriculture, food, and natural resources industries. Agricultural Education and the National FFA Organization work in tandem to connect our members to those career opportunities through the Three Circle Model of Ag Education. 

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and enhance quality healthcare delivery to all people. 

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. We help each student excel. A nonprofit national education association, SkillsUSA serves middle-school, high-school, and college/postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service (including health) occupations. 

VEX Robotics is a club where students build and program robots for competition.  VEX is offered at all APS high schools and some middle schools.  VEX teams compete at the local, state, national, and international level.

eSports is a club that participates in multi-player video game competitions. eSports teams are found throughout various APS high and middle schools.
