Most summer camps are free of charge except for Credit Recovery, Credit Advancement, and Middle Adventurers Camp. These camps require a $50 supply fee.

Payment of Fees is available via Credit, Debit, or Cash/Check.

Akron Public Schools uses PaySchools App to process fees via credit/debit card. Allow up to three business days after registration for the fee to appear in PaySchools. Visit payschoolscentral.com to create an account and pay fees online. If paying by cash or check, you may pay at your school until June 13. Payments are also accepted at 10 N. Main Street Engagement Center all summer.

Summer Experiences run all summer and vary by school, program and location.  Check the details of your camp selections for specific information and registration deadlines.  Registration opens on April 1, 2025.

Breakfast/lunch will be provided for select programs and camps.

Breakfast will be served between 8:00 -9:00 a.m., and lunch will be served between 11:30 a.m.-noon for students registered for specific programs during those times.

There is no open breakfast or lunch for non-registered students this summer.

• Transportation is available to Elementary summer sites if you are more than 2 miles away from that site (for Third Grade Reading Academy Hubs Sites, Akron After School Hub Sites,  YMCA Safety Around Water, and Pre-Fall only).
• All other camps are self-transport.

• JUNE CAMPS: Must be registered by May 23, 2025 to be eligible/considered for transportation.
• PREFALL: Must be registered by July 11,  2025, to be eligible/considered for transportation. 
• NOTE:  APS does not provide transportation for PreK-Kindergarten sites.
   

Your child is only eligible to attend Summer Experiences that appear on the results for their school and grade level. In many cases, programs take place at your child’s school, however, some programs allow for students from other campuses to attend.  Carefully read the dates, times, and locations of the program when you register.  Transportation rules apply.

These programs are specially designed to accommodate a student’s academic needs.  Your school counselor or principal has registration paperwork and will assign students to the correct program.

Some Summer Experiences that are available for specialty school students and should appear in the search results.  However, you may also choose to attend your verified school of residence.
