Work-based learning is a coordinated sequence of experiences designed to provide students with real-world learning through partnerships with local businesses and industry professionals. These learning activities help students explore careers and choose an appropriate career path. Students choosing this as a pathway to graduation must complete 250 hours of qualified work-based learning to meet state and national reporting requirements.
Work-Based Learning offers students:
- On-the-job training
- Real-world experience
- Paycheck opportunities
- Networking and mentoring
- A jump start on a potential careers
- An easier transition to full-time employment after graduation
