
Students from Buchtel CLC’s Teaching Professions program recently competed in the Educators Rising Conference at Capital University. Eight placed in the top 10 and three placed high enough to move on to the National Conference in Dallas, Texas. This is the fifth consecutive year that Buchtel CLC has qualified for nationals. The group is coached by Teaching Professions Instructor, Melissa Jacot.
Over 1,000 students from 50 schools in Ohio participated in 16 different competitions including Lesson Planning, Ethical Dilemma, Researching Disabilities, Children Literature and Public Speaking.
Buchtel students qualifying for nationals include:
Ronasia Kelley – 2nd place: Lesson Plan Humanities
Erica Grant – 5th place: Lesson Plan CTE
Kareemah Jackson – 2nd place: Public Speaking
