
Sunday, March 10, Akron Public Schools had three of its senior students receive scholarships in a program from the Ohio Association of College Access Counselors.
The Charles L. Warren Memorial Heritage Scholarship is awarded each year to outstanding high school seniors who exhibit the following qualities:
1. Demonstrates and shows a continued commitment to cultural and intellectual diversity
2. Attends an OACAC member high school
3. Has an accumulated grade point average of 3.00 or better on a 4.00 scale in a college preparatory curriculum
4. Will attend an Ohio college or university
There were 294 applicants for five awards. APS students from Akron Early College High School and Firestone CLC brought home three of the five.
Kudos to the students and our wonderful counselors for doing tremendous work.
